Generating Business from the Feed-in Tariff

‘Generating Business' organised by Regen SW, in partnership with the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC), is running a conference on DECC's Feed in Tariff (FIT) consultation, which will incentivise the installation of renewable electricity.

The event, sponsored by Aeolus Power, will be held in Bristol on 29 September 2009, with key speakers including Stephen De Souza and John Moriarty from DECC and international expert David Jacobs.

The event will bring together leading business people with key officials who set the policy.  It will cover how the Feed-in Tariff will work and the implications for the UK market.  Delegates will also be given the chance to discuss opportunities created by the Feed in Tariff for organisations to cut costs, reduce carbon emissions and develop new markets.

Merlin Hyman chief executive of Regen SW said; "The introduction of a Feed-in Tariff is the most significant development to date in UK renewables policy, and we want to ensure that businesses make the most of opportunities it will create.  This new incentive could dramatically increase the take-up of renewables throughout the UK, creating new business opportunities for companies in retailing, manufacturing, finance and the energy sector".

Christine Griffiths, Managing Director of Aeolus Power said; "The introduction of the Feed in Tariff system offers great opportunities for organisations to get direct financial advantages from installing renewable energy technologies such as wind turbines.  Aeolus Power is geared up for the increase in demand from businesses looking to cash in on the benefits on offer and we will be sharing our expertise on how best to do this at the event".

Delegates wishing to find out more about the Feed in Tariff event should visit www.regensw.co.uk/eventhq or contact Rachel Hayes 01392 474374 to book.
