10-11 November, Assembly rooms, Bath
Renewable Futures is Regen SW's annual conference and trade show, and the biggest renewable energy event in the south west of England. Sponsored by Bath and North East Somerset Council, this year's event will focus on how, in the south west, we can not only recognise and be realistic about the challenges that sustainable energy businesses are facing, but also how we can look ahead beyond the recession and focus on powering up for growth.

New city. New venue. New format.
Since the first Renewable Futures five years ago, the conference has now become the ‘must attend' event for private and public sector representatives in the south west's sustainable energy industry. This year, for the first time, Renewable Futures will be held at the Assembly Rooms in Bath, with a new, two-day format that will give more opportunities to network, talk business, and get up-to-date on the latest developments in sustainable energy. It's therefore fitting that this year's event is sponsored by Bath and North East Somerset Council.
Day 1
Hosted by Jonathan Dimbleby
Held over two days - with the South West Green Energy awards in between - the event will kick off on day one in the afternoon with a plenary and an Any Questions style forum, hosted by the BBC's Jonathan Dimbleby and a panel of four experts to debate the questions.
Four months after the government's Renewable Energy Strategy is launched this session will bring together leading policymakers and business leaders for a high-level debate on whether the strategy has put the sustainable energy sector on track for the dramatic growth we need.
Day 2
In-depth targeted seminars
Day two will include a series of seminars, covering the following topics:
- Renewable Heat: Warming to the Challenge
- Offshore Opportunities
- Microgeneration Futures
- Energy efficiency - save and prosper
- Access to Capital
- Building a low carbon economy
- Do communities hold the key?
- Large scale low-carbon development - from inception to delivery
